Telenor Maritime’s three-year contract with Silversea Cruises to provide 3G service for the fleet has been extended for another three years.

As a result, Telenor Maritime will continue to support and improve the complete digital value chain on board Silversea Cruises’ ultra-luxury ships, enhancing both the guest experience and the operational efficiency.

“This is a recognition of our high level of service, and we are proud and happy to continue our successful co-operation with Silversea Cruises. They have set the gold standard in luxury cruising with their passion for cruise excellence and quality, providing a first-class experience to their cruise guests.

“Silversea sails to over 900 destinations on all seven continents, more than any other cruise line. And with our advanced mobile cellular communication services, we make it possible to communicate, exchange and share information almost anywhere at sea. Silversea Cruises are planning today to meet the demands of tomorrow. And so are we. That is why we will continue to improve and expand our co-operation,” said Jan Erik Norli, Telenor Maritime CMO.

“We are pleased to partner with Telenor as the mobile operator on board our fleet of ultra-luxury ships, thus continuing a successful relationship started in 2017,” added Fabio Agostini, Silversea Cruises’ CIO. “Telenor is a big telco operator that provides a high-quality service – which is greatly appreciated by our discerning guests.”
