The Finnish port of Hamina has joined the Cruise Baltic network.
Hamina brings the total number of cruise ports and destinations to 31, the highest number thus far.
The port is located on the Finnish coast about 145 km east of Helsinki. With a central location in the Gulf of Finland, Hamina is an easy-to-reach destination for cruises in and out of the Baltic area.
Hamina shares the Port of Hamina/Kotka with the city Kotka, which is already a Cruise Baltic partner. The Port of Hamina/Kotka is located only a short cruise from Helsinki along the coast, and just a short drive from the port, people can experience the Hamina town.
“Hamina is ideally placed close to the Port of Hamina/Kotka in the Gulf of Finland. It has been 20 years since we last welcomed cruise ships in our town, so we are very much looking forward to now being able to welcome cruise guests again. For guests arriving in the Port of Hamina/Kotka, Hamina is really worth a visit. Both the town and the surrounding area have so much to offer,” said Hamina’s Mayor, Hannu Muhonen.
“Cruise Baltic is happy to welcome Hamina to the network consisting of now 31 destinations in Finland, Denmark, Sweden, Norway, Estonia, Lithuania, Germany and Poland. Hamina and its surrounding area have a lot to offer for cruise guests and is an exciting destination that complements the other Baltic destinations well,” said Cruise Baltic Director, Claus Bødker.
