FRS takes over Koenigslinie

In April, Stena Line announced it was closing its ferry service between Sassnitz and Trelleborg.

Forde Reederei Seetouristik (FRS) is take over the so-called Königslinie in September, after agreeing to purchase Fjord Line’s high speed craft ‘Fjord Cat’.

‘Fjord Cat’ will continue to operate for Norwegian Fjord Line until 23rd August.

However, instead of sailing to Trelleborg, FRS will use Ystad in Sweden. The crossing time will be 2 hrs 30 mins, allowing for two return trips per day, the company said.
