The first ship in Swan Hellenic’s Vega expedition cruise ship series, ‘SH Minerva’s’, had her guest and crew cabins, as well as the crew public areas, fitted out by ALMACO.

The work was performed at the Helsinki Shipyard in Finland.

ALMACO was contracted to design, procure and construct all of the ships’ passenger cabins, crew cabins and crew public areas.

“It has been great to work with Helsinki Shipyard and Swan Hellenic on this project,” said Esko Ryyppö, Project Manager in charge of the Vega series at ALMACO. “The project got off to a good start already in April, 2020 and was completed in 1.5 years.

“We were expecting challenges, due to the unstable market situation and took extra precautions to ensure the project was a success. Thanks to the great co-operation with Helsinki Shipyard and Swan Hellenic, we were able to deliver the project successfully,” he said.

‘SH Minerva’ is fitted with 76 cabins, including six suites. All of the cabins offer a luxury standard. They are spacious with large bathrooms and allow for comfortable in-room dining with a spectacular view. The interiors on board have an elegant ‘Scandi-luxe’ chic design, Swan Hellenic said.

With 120 crew members and 152 guests, the number of crew cabins was almost as large as the number of guest cabins on board.

‘SH Minerva’ offers her crew members comfortable spacious cabins. Crew wellbeing and high retention are important for Swan Hellenic, the company said.
