Meyer Werft has contracted TMC Compressors to supply the marine compressed air system for another AIDA Cruises newbuilding.

Under the terms of the contract, TMC Compressors will supply a complete marine compressed air system consisting of instrument and service air compressors with associated air treatment system. TMC will also supply the air treatment system for the starting air system.

“Acquiring the full on board compressed air system from one supplier reduces administrative work, ensures quick delivery and minimises system integration time and cost. We are delighted to be chosen as a system supplier to this vessel,” said Hans Petter Tanum, TMC Compressor’s Director of Sales and Business Development.

This contract marks the third of three newbuild 180,000 gt cruise vessels that Meyer Werft is building for German-based AIDA Cruises, a Carnival Corp to be fitted with TMC compressed air systems.

TMC will manufacture and assemble the marine compressed air system at its facilities in the Nordic region and supply it to Meyer Werft in Papenburg, Germany.

“Our compressors are renowned for their low energy usage, which translates to low operating costs and low emissions to air. They are a good fit for Carnival’s green cruising design,” Tanum added.
