NT breaks booking record

In the first three months of 2023, PONANT posted its best quarterly bookings results since the company was launched 35 years ago.

The previous record was surpassed by 30%. The number of bookings in 1Q23 was 80% higher than in 1Q19, the company said.

Despite a still very unsettled market, PONANT is back to robust levels of bookings, above those for 2022 and even those of the pre-Covid period, the luxury ship operator claimed.

“This result not only reflects the recovery in confidence in the market, but to PONANT’s ability to stand out in its sector,” explained Hervé Bellaïche, Chief Sales, Marketing & Communications Officer (pictured).

“The quality of service that has built PONANT’s reputation over the last 35 years just keeps on improving.

“While remaining vigilant about societal changes and able to transform ourselves when necessary, we are confident in our business model- small ships, respectful of the destinations visited and environmental issues, and an always better quality of service,” he added.
