Cruise Baltic has welcomed its 32nd member – the Swedish port of Ystad.

Ystad is one of the most southern cities in Sweden, while the cruise berths are within walking distance of the city.

The berths can accommodate cruise ships of up to 250 m in length and 8.4 m draft.

Last year, the port saw three calls and expects four in 2024.

“We are pleased to become a part of an international cruise network, where we can learn more about the industry, exchange valuable experience with each other and ultimately develop Ystad as a cruiser destination, “ explained Bjorn Bostrom, Port of Ystad CEO.

Ystad is one of Sweden’s largest ferry ports and is a gateway to Bornholm, as well as to Poland and beyond. With a train station next to the cruise berths, an easy connection can be made to Malmo for Copenhagen.

“We are delighted to welcome Ystad to our strong network. More destinations mean more diversity, which is an essential part of making cruise lines interested in visiting the region.

“Cruise Baltic represrnts nine different countries, languages and cultures and we offer a unique product on the global cruise market. With Ystad on board, it’s even better,” said Klaus Bondom, Cruise Baltic Director.
