Consilium Safety Group has signed a maintenance agreement with Carnival Corp to help ensure the efficiency and reliability of the on-board emission monitoring systems (CEMS).

“The agreement strengthens the co-operation between Carnival Corp and Consillium. Having access to Consilium’s global service network will further support our ongoing efficiency and sustainability priorities,” said a Carnival Corp spokesperson.

The partnership underscores a joint commitment to enhance Carnival Corp’s emission monitoring and operation efficiency, the company added.

This agreement is an extension to an earlier service and maintenance contract between Consilium Safety Group and Carnival Corp that covered the gas detection system on board nine LNG-fuelled vessels in Carnival Corp’s fleet.

With an emphasis on increasing customer awareness, Consilium has local service and support in 55 countries across all time zones.

“Our partnership with Carnival Corp reflects our dedication to ensuring optimal system reliability, uptime, and environmental compliance. We are pleased to align with their sustainability mission within the cruise industry, acknowledging their efforts towards environmental responsibility and sustainable practices,” said Joel Tillman, Head of Sales at Consilium Safety US.

The contract covers 32 vessels.
