Another ‘Fantasy’ class Carnival Cruise Line ship, ‘Carnival Sensation’ has been sold to Turkish shipbreakera.
She is currently bound for Aliaga, Turkey, where she is due on 4th April and will join her sisterships,’Carnival Fantasy’, ’Carnival Inspiration’ and ’Carnival Imagination’ on the recycling beach.
Carnival had announced that another three older ships would leave the fleet this year.
In addition, the 1975 former Russian passenger/ro-ro ‘Delphin’ has also been reported as sold for breaking.
She was converted into the cruise ship ‘Belorussiya’ in the Soviet era but has been laid up in Croatia for a number of years.
No further details have been released.
