Zinus, a provider of shore power and maritime electrification solutions, has opened a new office in Seattle, Washington.
Operating under a North American subsidiary, Zinus Power, the office was officially opened on 5th June, 2025.
It is located at Port of Seattle’s facilities on Fisherman’s Terminal and will initially serve as a sales hub, enabling Zinus to work more closely with its growing network of clients and partners across the US and Canada.
With several ongoing projects throughout North America, the new location marks an important step in the company’s global expansion strategy.
“As more ports and vessels shift toward electrification, we are excited to establish a stronger foothold in a region that is critical to the future of sustainable maritime operations,” said Sveinung Odegard, Zinus Power’s President (pictured).
“Despite some occasional hesitation around green tech, we continue to see a significant momentum here in North America.
“The positive side effects from going electric—both environmentally and economically are becoming obvious for all parties involved. There is no doubt in our minds that this market holds tremendous potential,” he said.
Odegard, a long-time US resident with over 30 years of experience in the maritime industry, is now leading the company’s US operations.
