Zadar joins GPH group

Turkish-based cruise port operator, Global Ports Holding (GPH) has signed a 20-year concession agreement for the operating rights of Gazenica in Zadar, Croatia.

Under the terms of the agreement, which starts in the fourth quarter of this year, GPH will manage all of the cruise port operations at Gazenica port for the period.

The contract includes cruise ship port and terminal services, an international ferry terminal, roro services, vehicles and passenger services. The terminal also contains a commercial area of 2,400 sq m, with leaseable retail and office space.

The cruise port has a maximum draft of 13 m and 1,170 m of total pier length to accommodate large ships.
Gazenica increases the number of ports handled by GPH to 17 in nine countries.
