US-based Shore Excursions Group, claimed to be the world’s largest shore excursion provider, has delivered 5 mill tours worldwide, marking a major milestone in the company’s journey.

This achievement reflects years of rapid growth, global expansion and a continued commitment to providing cruise travellers with exceptional, independently curated experiences beyond the port, the company said.

Serving over 350 ports on all seven continents, Shore Excursions Group has established itself as a leading option for cruisers looking for well-chosen, reasonably priced and engaging shore excursions outside of the traditional cruise line offerings, the company added.

From culinary explorations and wildlife encounters to glacier treks and historical ruin excavations, Shore Excursions Group offers a wide range of cultural tours.

As the company looks ahead to reaching its next target, it continues to strengthen partnerships with thousands of travel agencies worldwide, including the largest cruise sellers.

Unlike cruise lines, the Shore Excursions Group offers agents commissions on every booking, customised marketing resources and other tools designed to help travel agents identify and book the best excursions tailored to their clients’ needs.

“We’re thrilled to celebrate this benchmark with the travellers and partners who made it possible,” said Paul Kiritsy, Shore Excursions Group CEO.

“Cruise passengers today want more immersive and personalised shore excursions that reveal the unique cultural highlights of every port of call.

“Reaching 5 mill tours shows just how many travellers are seeking real, authentic experiences to transform vacations into lifelong memories,” he said.

The milestone comes alongside another major achievement: the addition of 1,000 new excursions last year alone, further expanding the Group’s already diverse selection.

Today, the company offers over 4,000 excursions in 350 plus ports and partners with more than 2,500 local tour operators worldwide.

The cruise industry continues its impressive growth towards nearly 40 mill passengers by 2027, according to the Cruise Lines International Association (CLIA).

“In line with the cruise industry’s recovery and renewed growth, our sales now exceed pre-pandemic levels,” Kiritsy added.

“And as demand for experiential adventures increases from both repeat and first-time cruisers, we will continue to curate high-quality shore excursions that go beyond the ordinary.”
