Luxury hotel and resort group, Aman, has appointed Jonathan Wilson CEO of Aman at Sea, the company’s new luxury cruise yacht brand.
Wilson will lead the development and implementation of the company’s first ship, which is a luxury superyacht, according to its website.
A contract has been signed with Italian shipbuilder T. Mariotti for the first vessel, which is expected to enter service in 2027.
Wilson will work closely with Aman chairman and CEO, Vlad Doronin to build the on board and shoreside teams for the new cruise initiative.
Having had experience in the hotel and cruise sectors, Wilson previously oversaw product development of 17 hotels as Vice President of Customer Experience and Innovation at Hilton Worldwide from 2019 to 2021.
He has also held leadership roles with Princess Cruises and Cunard Line from 2000 to 2015, including vice president positions in hotel operations, product development and food and beverage.
Aman at Sea is a joint venture between Aman and Cruise Saudi.
