In a surprise move, Michael Thamm (pictured left) has stepped down as CEO of Costa Crociere Spa, which operates Costa Cruises and AIDA Cruises and is part of the Carnival Corp Group.
He had held the post since 2012.
The role of Costa Group’s managing director will disappear.
Mario Zanetti, Costa Cruises President (pictured right), and Felix Eichhorn, President of AIDA Cruises, will now report directly to Josh Weinstein, Carnival Corp’s President and CEO.
