Stena Line, the ferry operating arm of Stena AB, has reported revenue of SEK19,45 mill for 2024, compared with SEK18,89 mill in the previous year.
Direct operating expenses were SEK14,03 mill, compared with SEK13,19 mill for 2023.
During the year, the ferry company operated 44 vessels on 20 routes across Europe; over 25,000 crossings carried more than 6.3 mill passengers and 2 mill freight units.
The company also introduced a new Dublin/Liverpool service and acquired 49% of Africa Morocco Link (AML), thus gaining control over two ferry routes between Spain and Morocco.
Another subsidiary, Stena RoRo took delivery of three new E-Flexer ropaxes, now chartered out to Brittany Ferries and Canadian Marine Atlantic Line.
At the end of last year, Stena RoRo had a fleet of 11 vessels, mostly long term chartered out giving predictable cash flow. A total of 15 E-flexers have been ordered of which 12 had been delivered.
Stena RoRo and Stena Property were the only business units in the Group to outperform the previous year amid economic headwinds. Stena Line remained profitable but at a reduced level, Stena AB said.
