To grow its presence in North America, Sea Cloud Cruises has appointed Mirell Reyes as President.
She will oversee all North American sales, marketing and communications activities.
Mirell was most recently the President of Star Clippers Americas and previously worked as Executive Director of Sales and Marketing at TUI Leisure Travel.
Sea Cloud has also appointed Kevin Smith to the post of Vice President of Sales. He held a similar roles at Amercian Queen Voyages.
He will focus on consortia, travel advisors, groups and new charter partnerships. Smith also previously worked in sales positions at AmaWaterways and Silversea.
Sea Cloud Cruises US will operate out of South Florida.
Sea Cloud operates three cruise ships mainly powered by sail. These are the ‘Sea Cloud’, a 92-year-old four-mast ship equipped to carry 64 pax; the 94-pax ‘Sea Cloud II’ built in 2001; and the 136-pax Sea Cloud Spirit, which was delivered in 2021.
