Resorts World Cruises is to resurrect two cruise line brands that helped to shape the Asian cruise industry for the past 30 years.

The company is to bring back StarCruises (a new take on the previous Star Cruises brand) and Dream Cruises.

This transition will take around three months and aims to renew StarCruises and Dream Cruises place as the pioneers of the Asian and global cruising industry.

Launched in June, 2022, Resorts World Cruises has welcomed close to 2 mill pax to date, setting the foundation for this transformation, the company said.

As part of the move, ‘Resorts World One’ will be renamed ‘Star Navigator’, and join ‘Star Voyager’ under the StarCruises banner.

‘Genting Dream’ will continue under the Dream Cruises brand.

The company explained that the refreshed StarCruises brand represented:

  • Affordable yet premium lifestyle cruising.
  • Vibrant on board entertainment, world class dining and themed experiences.
  • Mid-sized ships (about 2,000 pax) for a more intimate and accessible voyage.
  • Short port intensive itineraries for domestic and fly cruise pax.

‘Star Navigator’ will begin four 4-night sailings from Singapore on 7th March, 2025 to Krabi and Penang, before being deployed to Taiwan for an exclusive eight month operational period starting 28th March.

During the eight month, she will offer diverse itineraries that connect Taiwan with various destinations in Japan and South Korea.

‘Star Voyager’ will sail on 26th March, 2025, from multiple seasonal homeports, including Singapore, Jakarta, Melaka, Bangkok, and Ho Chi Minh, with more port cities to be added.

Meanwhile, Dream Cruises will introduce a new era of luxury cruising, tailored for travellers seeking world class service, premium amenities, and unparalleled elegance, the company said.

It will represent:

  • A sophisticated and indulgent on board experience.
  • Spacious ships with over 3,000 pax capacity.
  • Vibrant on board entertainment, world-class dining and themed experiences.
  • Luxury fly cruise itineraries for the modern explorer.

‘Genting Dream’, Dream Cruises’ flagship, will be homeported in Singapore all year round, offering itineraries to Malaysia and Thailand.

By clearly differentiating the two brands, each operator will cater to distinct guest segments, while reinforcing their leadership in the Asian cruise industry, Resorts World Cruises claimed.
