Now sporting P&O Cruises Australia livery and funnel logo, ‘Pacific Encounter’, ex ‘Star Princess’, left a Singapore shipyard recently.

Each of the P&O funnel logos is 20 m wide and 8 m high.

She was also fitted-out with many of the Australian cruise line’s favourite features, as well as several new ones.

During her time in Singapore, ‘Pacific Encounter’s’ public spaces, including the multi-storey atrium, ‘The Lobby’ were created in keeping with the stylish modern Australian décor and quirky features, which have become a trademark of the P&O fleet in recent years.

Popular dining outlets, including the Waterfront Restaurant and Dragon Lady, were added with the Italian restaurant Angelo’s sporting Sophia Loren artworks and drapery.

Continuing P&O Cruises’ ongoing food evolution, she will offer new dining outlets from Australian chef and restaurateur, Luke Mangan, and traditional Neapolitan pizzeria from 400 Gradi by Melbourne chef, Johnny Di Francesco.

Stylish carpet, artworks, accessories and features now gracing the ship’s many public spaces, include the Explorer Hotel, the summer-inspired pub.

‘Pacific Encounter’ will complete further renovations in the coming months before joining ‘Pacific Adventure’ and ‘Pacific Explorer’ in the P&O Australia fleet.
