David Herrera has quit a President of Norwegian Cruise Line (NCL).
This is move is part of a strategic leadership change, the company said in a 20th August US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) filing from parent company, Norwegian Cruise Line Holdings (NCLH).
NCLH President and CEO, Harry Sommer, will serve as NCL’s interim President.
Herrera (pictured) had been President since April, 2023 after serving as Chief Consumer Sales and Marketing Officer.
Commenting on the leadership change, an NCLH spokesperson said, “NCL is at a pivotal moment in its nearly 60-year history. With the foundation that has been set by the leadership team, it’s the right time to make this change, as we look to accelerate our momentum at NCL.”
NCLH will conduct “a robust search for Herrera’s successor,” while Sommer serves as interim President, the company added.
