China State Shipbuilding Corp’s Guangzhou Shipbuilding International (GSI) has delivered the cruise/ferry ‘Moby Fantasy’ to Moby Line Shipping.
The 2,500-pax and 3,800 lane meter ropax will operate between Genoa, Olbia, and Livorno.
She is 237 m in length with a beam of 33 m and is fitted with 13 decks, 533 cabins, able to carry nearly 800 cars and has a service speed of around 23.5 knots.
GSI said that the vessel is fitted with an advanced vehicle loading system and in addition, is equipped with a hybrid scrubber system and engines with low power consumption, allowing the ship to sail up to 25 knots, if necessary.
Her machinery also includes an LNG propulsion interface, allowing Moby Line to switch to LNG as the ship’s primary fuel in the future.
