The US State of Wisconsin has awarded Port Milwaukee a $3.5 mill Capital Tourism grant.
This will be used to help fund a new Seawaymax infrastructure at the South Shore Cruise Dock to accommodate the largest international cruise vessels built to access the Great Lakes.
With the investment, Port Milwaukee will ensure that its cruise operations will continue to grow in the future, and in turn, support Wisconsin’s economic success story for decades to come, the port said on social media.
