One ship cruise company, Margaritaville at Sea is to add a second ship, offer longer itineraries, and have a new presence in the Gulf of Mexico.

Launched in 2022, the cruise line, which offers two-night cruises to Grand Bahama, will unveil its second ship in 2024, the ’Margaritaville at Sea Islander’.

The new ship will also allow Margaritaville at Sea to increase its  itineraries with four- and five-night cruises in the Gulf of Mexico with calls in Key West, Florida; Cozumel and Progreso, Mexico.

“Since we launched our first ship, ’Margaritaville at Sea Paradise’, last year, we’ve been working to expand what our guests have been asking for: more amazing views, longer itineraries, and new ports of call,” Christopher Ivy, Margaritaville at Sea CEO, said in a statement to US media.

“The addition of the ’Islander’ is an exciting moment for Margaritaville at Sea and marks the next chapter of growth for our business,”  he said.

The new 2,650 pax capacity ship will be launched on 14th June, 2024, and the company will add Tampa, Florida, as a new homeport.

The cruise line currently sails its Bahamas itineraries out of Palm Beach, Florida.

The new ship will come with 1,100 staterooms, a 14-story nautical-themed atrium, cornhole and mini-golf courses, and bars and restaurants.

For travellers who want to cruise regularly, Margaritaville at Sea offers several unlimited pass options, such as the ‘Ultimate Paradise Pass,’ which allows guests as many $999 cruises as they want.

The line also offers a new ‘Heroes Pass’ for US military service members — both active duty and veterans — police, fire, EMS personnel, and teachers, starting at less than $300 per person.
