Royal Caribbean announced in a blog that it has cancelled five 2021 sailings of ‘Liberty of the Seas’ to provide more time for the ship to be upgraded.
The blog said that the cruise line wanted to have more time for the ship’s scheduled ‘Royal Amplification’.
Guests who were booked on one of these sailings have been offered the choice to cancel or rebook on ‘Liberty of the Seas’ during another time of the year, or ‘Jewel of the Seas’ sailings departing around the same time.
They can also rebook on another ship without a penalty.
In a letter to guests, it was explained that the cancellations are necessary in order to perform the upgrades and enhancements to the ship.
