Hapag-Lloyd’s ‘Hanseatic’ due to leave fleet next week

According to reports from Germany, Hapag-Lloyd Cruises ‘Hanseatic’ left the fleet on 1st October.

She will then be handed over under a long-term charter contract to One Ocean Expeditions.

The ship joined the Hapag-Lloyd fleet on 23rd March, 1993, according to the company, clocking up a number of cruise industry firsts.

Hapag-Lloyd will take delivery of two out of the three expedition type newbuildings next year – the third is to enter the fleet in 2021.

The new class of expedition ships will have the prefix ‘Hanseatic’.
