Goltens is nearing completion of the hull for Polar Selar’s wind- and solar-powered Arctic expedition vessel, ‘Captain Arctic’.
Measuring 69 m long and 14 m wide, the vessel has been under construction at a Dubai shipyard since August, 2024, with the hull fabrication on track to be completed in the late third quarter of this year.
Key structures, such as the king post for wind and solar sails, along with piping systems and equipment foundations, essential elements for a vessel designed with sustainability at its core, were also nearing completion, the company said in a social media post.
