LNG bunker fuel provider, Titan and Carnival Corp undertook their first LNG bunker operation at Kiel, Germany on 6th May, 2023.
Titans’ long-term chartered 6,000 cu m capacity LNG bunker vessel ‘Optimus’, owned by Elengir, delivered LNG bunkers to AIDA’s ‘AIDAnova’.
This was the first LNG bunker delivery undertaken at Kiel.
Titan said that the operation was successfully carried out and ran smoothly as planned.
The company added: “We are grateful for the constructive talks we have had with the Port Authorities of Kiel for the permit to allow Titan to execute LNG bunker deliveries in the Port of Kiel. This was the first LNG delivery of a series of bunkers that Titan will deliver to the ‘AIDAnova’ cruise vessel.
”This operation would not have been possible without the close co-operation between all parties. We, therefore, would like to thank the crew of both vessels who did an excellent job, Seehafen Kiel GmbH & CoKG, TB Marine Shipmanagement (Riga) and Carnival Corporation for trusting us,” Titan said.
