Finnlines’ has chartered the ropax ‘Cruise Smeralda’ from affiliate Grimaldi Lines to replace two ropaxes scheduled for drydocking.
She started operating between Travemünde and Malmö on 13th April.
Finnlines’ regular vessels, ‘Finnpartner’ and ‘Finntrader’, will be drydocked to install new pollution abatement technology and to upgrade public spaces during the spring and summer.
Finnlines will continue to provide sailings with three ships and the schedule will remain unchanged.
‘Cruise Smeralda’ has the capacity to carry rolling cargo, as well as passengers, similar to the other ships on Finnlines Germany/Sweden route.
She was built in Norway in 1997 and sailed in the Mediterranean before entering the Baltic.
