Fincantieri and Crystal have firmed up an option that was attached to two cruise ship orders announced earlier this year.
The value of the order, which is still subject to financing and other terms and conditions, is over $500 mill.
Similar to her two sisterships, the third cruise vessel will have a gross tonnage of 61,800 and will be able to accommodate around 690 pax.
Her interior design, developed by international architectural studios, will include the use of high-quality materials and craftsmanship.
The ship will offer ‘all suite’ accommodations with private balconies, as well as several cabins for single use, a highly requested option and ideal for those travelling alone.
This order reflects Fincantieri’s strategy in the cruise ship sector. As a world leader in high-tech shipbuilding, it is committed to the development of innovative and sustainable vessels, responding to the evolving needs of the market, the Italian shipbuilder claimed.
The Group’s focus is on new generation propulsion technologies, such as the use of LNG and hydrogen, combined with customer-oriented design.
