Danish ferry and logistics company, DFDS has raised its EBITDA forecast for this year to DK4.4-4.8 bill from DKK3.9-4.4 bill.
The revenue growth prediction was also increased to around 35% from about 30%.
DFDS’ outlook for 2022 has improved following a strong recovery in passenger earnings in the second quarter. In addition, freight ferry volumes and earnings were higher than expected, the company explained.
Demand for freight and passenger services is expected to remain robust in the next couple of months.
However, this demand may be dampened later in 2022 by a slowdown driven by developments in the macro environment and by supply chain constraints.
Uncertainty remains high and significant changes to the outlook may therefore still occur, DFDS warned.
DFDS’ 2Q22 interim report will be released on 16th August, 2022, the company added.
