‘Crystal Serenity’ arrived at Lloyd Werft’s Bremerhaven shipyard on 18th October for a major conversion project.
Lloyd Werft’s team had boarded the 68,870 gt luxury cruise ship in Lisbon to begin preparatory work for the conversion project.
‘Crystal Serenity’ will remain at the yard until 6th November for conversion costing several million Euros.
Interior refurbishment is being carried out directly by Crystal Cruises or its partner companies. Lloyd Werft will be responsible for the necessary shipbuilding work and for the logistical requirements for the entire project.
The work is the second direct contract between Lloyd Werft and Crystal Cruises, part of the Genting Hong Kong Group, as last year, an extensive refurbishment of the ‘Crystal Symphony’ was undertaken at Bremerhaven.
