One of the oldest cruise ships still trading has arrived at a Turkish recycling yard.
The 1977-built 16,900 gt ‘Gold Club’ was beached at Aliaga on 11th July.
She had operated for cruise lines, including Cunard, Starlauro/MSC and Mano.
‘Gold Club’ was built in Denmark as the ‘Cunard Princess’, one of two vessels for Cunard’s Caribbean cruise operation.
Meanwhile, the ‘Pisc’, ex ‘Star Pisces’ (see last news listing) was beached at Alang, India on 12th July, having arrived on 3rd July.
