Elite Exhibitions has announced that Cruise Ship Interiors Expo America (CSI) and co-located Cruise Ship Hospitality Expo America (CSH) are to return to Miami, Florida on 28th – 29th October this year.
Under the banner of CSI, during the past year the event has provided a remote platform and a voice for the cruise ship interiors community.
Launching the webinar series ‘Cruise Conversations’, CSI helped the down-but-not-out cruise interiors industry share stories and collaborate on finding a way forward, the organisers said.
The October joint expos will be held at the Miami Beach Convention Centre once again and will welcome cruise interiors designers, architects, outfitters, shipyards and suppliers.
Elite CEO, Toby Walters (pictured), said, “We are delighted to bring the industry back together again, as the community’s key players will meet for two days of networking, much-missed face-to-face meetings and the unparalleled design focused ‘Cruise Conversations’ conference.”
CSI and CSH were originally scheduled to return between 8th and 9th June, 2021. However, Elite Exhibitions made the necessary decision to move the expos back to October.
Although buoyed by the global news of successful vaccination programmes and other roadmaps to reopen world travel, the organisers felt that the new dates allowed them to put on a show that exhibitors and visitors had come to expect.
This year, 300-plus exhibitors will be located under one roof in an effort to create a dynamic show floor. After nearly a year of online-only meetings, visitors will be able to walk around the world of cruise ship interiors, enjoying the innovation, inspiration, and essential conversation, Elite said.
At the ‘Cruise Conversations’ conference, industry leaders will discuss the key topics of today and the future, including the role that interior design will play in the cruise industry’s reinvigoration.
Attendees will also be offered a programme of networking events across both days. Among the events is the ‘Reunion Party’, a celebration of the cruise ship interiors community and a reuniting of the supply chain.
In addition, VIPs, visitors and exhibitors will be able to attend the on-site Cruise Ship Interiors Awards. In its second year, this awards ceremony will celebrate the innovation, aesthetic and design history of cruise ship interiors.
Interested parties will be able to follow @CruiseShipInteriorsExpo on LinkedIn for updates and information on how to attend.
