Nantong CIMC Sinopacific Offshore and Engineering Co, Ltd (CIMCSOE), a subsidiary of CIMC ENRIC, has received two orders for LNG tanks, thought to be for luxury cruise ships.
The total orders exceededYuan160 mill and has further stabilised CIMC SOE’s position in the LNG tank market, it said without giving any details of the orders.
Affected by the COVID-19, many foreign customers are sceptical about the company’s production and delivery capacity in the face of flight cancellations, temporary suspensions of visa applications and the inability to hold face-to-face talks. CIMC SOE maintained active communication with customers through teleconferences and other means.
CIMC SOE did say that these orders have enabled the company to enter the emerging market for luxury cruise ships fuel tanks.
