Hong Kong-based bunker supplier, Chimbusco Pan Nation Petro-Chemical (CPN), has completed its first delivery of ISCC-EU certified B24 marine biofuel to Celebrity Cruises’ ’Celebrity Solstice,’ part of the Royal Caribbean Group.
This landmark event marks a major milestone for both companies and the maritime industry in the quest to reduce carbon emissions and promote eco-friendly travel, CPN claimed.
The delivery, which took place on 2nd January, 2025, in Hong Kong, represents the first bunker operation with B24 biofuel to a Royal Caribbean Group vessel.
This successful delivery not only strengthens the environmental initiatives of Royal Caribbean Group but also underscores Hong Kong’s importance as a hub for sustainable maritime practices.
CPN has claimed to be at the forefront of biofuel adoption, making significant strides in recent years. The company introduced its own B24 marine biofuel blends in Singapore and, by the end of the year, had delivered over 46,000 tonnes of biofuels to key ports in the region.
With a strong focus on sustainability, CPN expanded its footprint beyond Hong Kong, exporting more than 20,000 tonnes of B24 marine biofuel to nearby ports.
In addition, CPN supplied 5,000 tonnes of biofuel to Port Klang and South China ports through partnerships.
