Carnival Cruise Line has cancelled two ‘Carnival Horizon’ cruises this month, due to technical issues affecting her maximum cruising speed.
‘Carnival Horizon’ is heading for a drydock believed to be in Italy.
In a letter sent to guests booked on two cancelled cruises, Carnival said: “’Carnival Horizon’ has been experiencing an issue affecting its maximum cruising speed and, unfortunately, we will not be able to operate your cruise.
“We sincerely apologise for the unanticipated disruption to your vacation plans. We are very disappointed that we have to cancel your cruise with such short notice.
“In addition to processing a full refund, we will also be extending a 100% future cruise credit (FCC) based on the value of the cruise fare for this voyage,” it said.
