Chinese cruise line, Blue Dream Cruises is about to take delivery of its second ship.

She is the former ‘AIDAvita’, which has been lying idle in Tallinn. She has been renamed ‘Blue Dream Melody’.

Now registered in Liberia, she will undergo a substantial refit before entering service in the Chinese market.

According to ship tracking data websites, ‘AIDAvita’, under the name of ‘Avitak’, was sold last month to the China Development Bank, Hong Kong for lease to Shanghai-based Blue Dream International Cruise.

Blue Dream Cruises currently operates the cruise ship ‘Blue Dream Star’.

‘Blue Dream Star’ was built by Blohm + Voss in 2001 as the ‘Olympia Explorer’ and has been operated by several cruise companies under several names since.
