US-based Atlas Ocean Voyages is to add four additional ships to its fleet.

The Fort Lauderdale-based line will start cruise operations with the Mystic Cruise managed ‘World Navigator’ in 2021. She will be followed by another four in 2022 and 2023, ordered by Mystic Cruises at the WestSea shipyard in Viana Do Costelo, Portugal for the Atlas Ocean brand.

‘World Navigator’, which will have a capacity of 196 pax, is currently under construction in Portugal. She will be joined by ‘World Traveller’ and ‘World Seeker’, both delivering in 2022, followed by the ‘World Adventurer’ and ‘World Discoverer’ in 2023.

The company described itself as a ‘luxe-adventure’ all-inclusive operation.

Company President, Alberto Aliberti, reportedly said: “We’re happy to expand our fleet to five ‘luxe-adventure’ cruise ships to sail under the Atlas Ocean Voyages brand. The immediate and positive response from the travel advisor community and early sales of ‘World Navigator’s’ inaugural 2021 season has played an important part in our decision to increase our capacity.”

The ships will be fitted with 98 ocean view suites and cabins, the majority having a private balcony.
