Ascenz Marorka, a Smart Shipping subsidiary of the GTT group, has been chosen by Antarctica21 to equip software on its newbuilding cruise vessel, ‘Magellan Discoverer’, scheduled for delivery next year.
This contract follows the successful collaboration between the two companies on ‘Magellan Explorer’, which, in 2022, was fitted with a full suite of measurement instruments and a comprehensive data collection setup.
This system has been transmitting real-time operational data to the Ascenz Marorka online platform since the 2022/2023 Antarctic season.
In addition, the company provided Antarctica21 with managed performance services, enabling detailed analyses of critical vessel systems and operations.

This prompted Antarctica21 to select a similar package of on board systems, digital platform access, and expert services for ‘Magellan Discoverer’ in order to optimise performance and sustainability.
