Following her scheduled period in drydock from 29th October to 10th November, 2017, in Marseille, ‘AIDAblu’ has been fitted with more on board features.

One of the exclusive highlights on board ‘AIDAblu’ is the new ice cream bar by Langnese Happiness Station fitted on board a cruise ship for the first time.

Those who love jewelry, watches and home accessories will now find an even bigger range on board. On the new promenade on Deck 9, the store concept has been modernised and now has a more open look. Items for sale include those designed exclusively in partnership with Meissen Porcelain.

The sports area on Deck 11 has also had a makeover. The machine area has been completely fitted out with new life-fitness cardio equipment and new Tomahawk indoor cycling bikes.

Metabolic testing and body analyses by Cardioscan for an optimum training programme will also be possible on board ‘AIDAblu’ in future.

Apart from regular class and maintenance work, ‘AIDAblu’ has become the seventh ship in the AIDA fleet to be fitted with an exhaust treatment system or scrubber, which virtually eliminates sulfur dioxide emissions.

Cosmetic repairs and refurbishments, such as the replacement of 3,000 sq m of carpeting, have also been effected on board and included in more than 30 different projects.
